If it’s out own user, that instance won’t be able to see their posts in their community, but if it’s a user from another instance, I suspect that only our instance user’s won’t see their posts in that community.

So can a dbzer0 admin ban someone from a lemmy.vg community? Seems weird to me

Correct, I suppose the ban button could be hidden from the ui in that case.
