There’s a mod called Complicated Bees for modern Minecraft Forge and NeoForge. It’s pretty much a replication of Forestry (But only with the Bees). I only played with it a little bit, but from the screenshots it’s pretty promising. It brings back the classic hives with Bees as items, original crossbreeding, Bees dropping items, and ~40+ species of Bees. You can also make custom bees with datapacks.
