      You can… If you can afford the land to do that on. Like i know places i can fish for free, but all waters are so polluted that fish isnt really an option all the time. Hunting has seasons and stuff. Like, except in rare situations. Hunting and growing isn’t an option.

        Also we were conditioned to lose our hunting/survival skills that our ancestors had and there’s not much wild life left to live in anyway.

      I mean, it’s easy enough to maintain a garden but it won’t be anywhere near enough food, and it’s certainly not 100% free. As far as hunting, it’s vastly more expensive than the grocery store. The permit alone is generally more, not to mention the cost of the land, processing, equipment, etc (and the time). There’s a joke that venison is some of the most expensive meat on the planet.
