Would love to see swipe down to close the photo viewer.
Sync for Reddit has this is you need a reference. Just open a photo then swiping down closes it.

I think there was a github commit yesterday for returning to post view by swiping back on comments but it didn’t say anything about photos
Maybe you should open a feature request
Swiping in any direction would be great if possible!
