Summary

A global study reveals a rising trend of bowel cancer diagnoses among adults under 50, with the highest annual increases in countries like New Zealand, Chile, Puerto Rico, and England.

Experts suggest potential causes include junk food consumption, physical inactivity, and obesity.

While rates are still low compared to older populations, the trend is concerning. Young women in several countries experienced faster increases than men.

Researchers emphasize the need for innovative prevention strategies and increased awareness of early symptoms to address this global health issue.

I agree, but the majorty of people who i have seen who go on “plant-based” diets are just eating the junk food versions of plant based. they are ordering veggie meals takeout which is usually fried or made of things you have no clue what its been made with, how much salt, etc…

For me, plant based is using raw veggies, and making a meal with that. include some starches if you will, but NO premade “vegan friendly” foods. The only plant based milk i drink is hemp due to how much stuff is NOT added to it. To each their own, just how i see it.

I eat plant based because I don’t want to hurt animals. That said, vegan junk food is just too expensive to eat all the time. I’m mostly just living off actual food I prepare and cook myself. Lots of veggies, rice, beans, soy, etc.

But I will demolish one of those garbage vegan pizzas in a single sitting lol
