On one vessel, five people died on a very expensive excursion. On the other, perhaps 500 people died on a squalid and perilous voyage. But it was the first that drew the world's attention.

It is possible to feel compassion for the victims of the Titan sub while also highlighting the injustice and double standards that doesn’t get the same sort of attention.

    A lot of people die daily on road accidents, why are we ignoring them? What about the children choking to death on food every other day?
