Yes, new publisher. Word is that NISA wasn’t interested.

This would be the series’ first simultaneous global release.

Well that’s kinda nice, but i don’t expect that in the future. Because they just bought the translations. And who is marking the ports, Nihon Falcom themself?

I assume Falcom is making the Switch and PlayStation versions (given they’ve done the Switch and PlayStation versions in-house for Daybreak/Kai and Ys X on the same engine), and either them or GungHo are doing the PC port. At the very least Durante confirmed on Reddit that neither he nor PH3 are involved in the announced PC port (yet?): https://old.reddit.com/r/Falcom/comments/1hhlayv/the_legend_of_heroes_trails_in_the_sky_the_1st/m2st366/

Durante is who? Hope it won’t be a mess for the pc version. In summer they said that they only make a ps, pc version according to the Feedback. At that moment, only tge switch version was planed, or at least they announced it like that. Now we will see more versions. But i guess it’s easier to choose the switch as leading platforms and bring it to more powerful systems than the other way arround

Durante is the CTO of PH3 Games, which has been doing Falcom’s PC ports for a while now. They are the some of the best in the business at ports/enhanced ports. Falcom’s even tapped them to do their Japanese releases previously in the Trails games they licensed to NISA.
