I went into Moderator Zone, then hit Mod Log. But it seems random? It’s not a modlog of my comments and posts, and it’s not a mod log for my moderated communities. So what is it? To that end, what is the Moderator Zone in general?

The mod log would be filtered for moderated communities, but it doesn’t exist yet in Lemmy api. I think it’s scheduled for 0.20

The mod zone is kind of like a teacher’s lounge. A place where mods can just chill without the riff raff ruining the party. And you can exchange upvotes for margaritas and community-branded apparel. I’m wearing a mildly infuriating headband right now!

~ On your profile, the modlog within the 3-dot menu shows you any mention of your username in any modlog. Within the ‘mod zone’ menu, that modlog is the ‘master’ modlog. It shows you all mod activity for every instance your instance is aware of. So it’s not random, it’s just everything. It’d be a lot more useful if you could apply filters for users and communities but it’s good for seeing recent trends across communities.

Mine (not a mod) is mod action on a comment and a list of dubvee.org communities I’m banned from by admin. Not sure what that is about, never been on that instance or any of its communities.

Edit: just checked, it seems I am banned from that entire instance. Reason:

Whines “paYWallEd” and makes their fucking laziness OP’s problem. Fuck off you lazy, entitled shit.
