Amazon has joined the slew of companies rolling back its DEI efforts in apparent celebration of Donald Trump’s “anti-woke” agenda. The changes specifically target LGBTQ+ people, with the section on LGBTQ+ rights being completely removed from its Positions page.

Damn, it’s like these mega corporations only ever care about what yields them the most profits at any given time.

I won’t. I regret the few corporate-backed queer purchases I ever made. Companies were always willing to do this, but we let them drain our wallets in the meantime. I’m never licking another rainbow-colored boot again.

They’ll do both these things at the same time, too. Disney was actively marketing itself as pro-gay while donating to everyone pushing the Parental Rights in Education Act, aka the Don’t Say Gay bill. We were always funding our oppression.

It really is depressing how many sellers are only on Amazon these days. I try and expend every opportunity for going through other sellers. And it usually works. But there’s still some one off things only on Amazon that is really frustrating

        Yeah. It’s a headache.

I have found that many (even most) will sell direct at a minor discount, if I can find their website.

It was a huge pain finding all the websites, but now I just search my password manager but topic and tend to do okay.

If it isn’t law then these policies where explicitly to stall out actual progress.

If it is then its just virtue signalling.

Either way what did we expect?
