This includes anime that has been announced, as well as manga series that have yet to have an announcement, but definitely will have one sooner or later. Personally, the top three right now are Apothecary Diaries (predicted to release around Oct 2023. highly, highly recommend), Sakamoto Days and Dandadan
In no specific order:
- Tate no Yuusha season 3
- Mushoku Tensei II
- Spy x Family season 2
- OPM 3
- Youjo Senki II
- Tsuki ga season 2
The fact that five of them are isekai series and only one is shōnen is a coincidence, I warrant you. I’m totally not hooked in isekai. Not at al…
…holy fuck new season of Saihate no Paradin! Make it 6/7 instead of 5/6!
has the studio for OPM 3 been announced yet? I hope we don’t see a retreading of season 2, but it’ll be tough under any circumstances to live up to the insane level of the animation work in the first season.
It’ll be animated by MAPPA, the same studio as the one behind Chainsaw Man.
@lvxferre @JustChillin which studio animated second season?
J.C. Staff. The same studio currently animating the Megumin spin-off of KonoSuba, and that animated Shinigami Bocchan.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End and Delicious in Dungeon for me. Both manga are outstanding fantasy that aren’t isekai and I think will translate really well to being animated.
Delicious in Dungeon is next on the list to read after I finish Dandadan. I hope Trigger gets to animate Delicious in Dungeon. That would be great.
Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End
It does seem different than the average isekai so I may give it a shot.
Delicious in Dungeon
I am looking forward to that it too :)
Both associated manga series are amazing. If well animated they’ll be sure hits.
I believe so too. I also hope the anime adaptations follow the manga.
Frieren isn’t isekai, it’s fantasy
Oh, thank you for the correction. My bad :)
No game no life, season 2. To be released: apparently never
That was literally the first show I watched while it aired. Almost 10 years ago now. But hey, if Hataraku Maou-sama can get a S2, NGNL can too!
Took up reading the novels after waiting 500 years. Still want that Season 2 though
The next season of Mushoku Tensei / Jobless Reincarnation.
I’ve watched the series three times. The world-building and storytelling are exceptional.
This year I haven’t felt the interest / captivating anymore, but I’m hoping the interest will return once the third season finishes airing, or when I start rewatching it for it.
On rewatches I’m skipping the longer flashback scene. I find it very unfitting.
It’s weird how much of a hit-or-miss MT is. I love it too; people call it “the grandfather of isekai” (that’s only partially true), but it’s from a more civilised time, when protags didn’t have a [INSERT YOURSELF HERE] sign on their necks.
Fair but spoilerless warning, if you don’t follow the manga, LN or WN: it’ll likely start with an event that a lot of people feel rather meh with. But it’s mostly a plot device.
Rurouni Kenshin. Loved the first anime adaptation. Hope this new one will be better with great fighting scenes and badassery!
Definitely The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses
I’ve read the manga and it’s really sweet.
Haven’t had a proper racing anime in… forever.

Some people already mentioned it but Solo Leveling. Also S3 for Re:Zero, it took a while to get announced and I was worried it wasn’t going to happen.
+1 for solo leveling, I read the manhwa and it was great
I’m excited for The 100 Girlfriends who really really really really really love you adaptation. I’ve been following the manga for ~1.5 years and it’ll be a hoot if done justice.
I need another season of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid so bad.
Ditto. It’s really fun to watch!
Next season looks pretty great, at least better than the current one IMO. I am most looking forward to the vending machine isekai.
I’ve read the novel. This one could be pretty fun if they don’t ruin it.
I’ve honestly been thinking this season is way too stacked to the point I’m constantly behind (Demon, Slayer, Oshi no Ko, Dr. Stone, Tengoku Daimakyo, Tonikaku Kawaii, Insomniacs after School, Dead Mount Death Play just to name a few I find noteworthy).
Oshi no Ko just isn’t my cup of tea, though I did love Kaguya-sama, they are just very different things. I am not up to date on Dr. Stone, ToniKawa, Smartphone or Kuma, so those are just going in the “later” pile for now until I can catch up on them. I am watching and really liking Insomniacs. Konosuba Explosion has been about what I expected (fine, but just not as good as the main story). Also Yuri Job has been alright. It just feels like last few seasons had at least one thing every day that was interesting to me, less so right now.
Overall I am basically watching 3 shows this season (of maybe 5 or 6 I am interested in including S2s and such) vs 16 in Winter 2023, 12 in Fall 2022, 16 in Summer 2022… It just seems that this season overall has less that interests me. I am all about SoL and RomComs… and I have been pretty spoiled for the past couple years, haha.
@irrationalpanda@reddthat.com I am looking forward to Apothecary Diaries as well!
I am also looking forward to the following:

Hehe, glad to hear that :)
Yeah, i was surprised to see that as well but I guess it was bound to happen. The art is amazing indeed. I am so looking forward to it :)
For me it’s Bleach Thousand Year Blood War cour 2, Jujutsu Season 2 and Horimiya Season 2, all releasing in Summer season.
Waiting for the new season of Mushoku Tensei. After watching the first season I decided to read the novels which was an amazing experience. The story shifts its focus, but it is still as interesting as it was in the beggining.
No idea whether it’ll be a remake or sequel, but either way I’m hyped. The 2006 anime is excellent.
yooo that looks pretty sick, premise feels a little like death parade
I believe that it’s a remake. I liked the 2006 one too :)
