    Huh. That’s pretty good news.

    I’m just kinda surprised this is new news, I know people that were getting this kind of treatment a few years ago.

    I guess it was just doctors that had heard about it and were doing it independently rather than it being a widespread practice.

    This used to be treated as an STI by gynecologists a few decades ago in the USA when it was recurrent. Then they stopped doing that and women had a horrible time. They literally had to refuse their partners sex*unless and until they got treated, and so the doctor needed to hear was “it keeps coming back after we have sex” to write the script.
