Something I’ve been missing from the Apollo days is the comment sharing option. We were able to convert any thread into a picture for us to share anywhere. It was super handy ! Lemma, another quite nice app I’m using for the two screenshots, has this feature and I’d love to see it coming on Voyager. We could also, on Apollo, hide the usernames and/or the subreddit. That was really nice.

Thanks for everything !

Apart from hiding usernames and community names, how is this different from taking a screenshot?

It’s cropped, and it only shows the comments you want to show instead of the many parent comments you don’t. Plus it includes the post details. The left and right images are very different.

Huh. I never thought about wanting this, but I can see how it could be helpful. Thanks for responding.

First things that come to my mind is that you can show as many comments as you like and include post details. Most of the time it doesn’t fit on a single screenshot, so I have to take more than one, I also have to crop, etc. You can also select which thread you want to show and hide other comments. It’s quite handy really. Apollo allowed us to add a little watermark for a bit of promotion. Can’t hurt Lemmy or Voyager

Also, this just copies the results to the Clipboard. As opposed to taking an actual screenshot which goes into Photos and then Recently Deleted, for those of us who like a clean Photos directory.
