Hello. preferred.social doesn’t have the usual sign-up process. I never bothered setting up a email server, and the idea was that you would just need to choose a name, enter the invite code, and choose a password, and that’s it.
Accounts were automatically verified after that process, but I didn’t realise that they would be set back to ‘unverified’ if you used Account -> Edit profile to change the email address from
whatever@preferred.socialto something real (as it looks like you’ve done). Sorry about that.I’ve set your account back to ‘verified’, so you should just be able to log in and use it as normal.
I had to change my password after the first login. When I did that through the settings, the email field was required.
