My daughter and I had fun talking about the bullshit the cop invited to talk to her health class had to say about drugs. Amazing the bullshit they try to push on kids.
Friendly reminder that DARE (and almost certainly it’s successors) was a proven failure.
Turns out lying to kids and telling them that smoking pot is a terrible horrible dangerius thing makes them question what else isnt so bad.
And they’re still calling it dangerous and a “gateway drug.”
Yup. Kids are generally smarter than we give them credit for. They’re pretty good at telling when they’re being fed bullshit like that.

But caffeine isn’t illicit at any age, so it isn’t a gateway to other illicit drugs.
It is a drug, so it is a gateway to other drugs. Illicit doesn’t matter to biology.
I remember sitting in one of these classes and thinking that LSD and Mushrooms sound fucking awesome.
