I cannot wait to play it!! If only the days had more hours 😩

The costumes with the crystals is skip from me, didnt like them much. The new UI is maybe better for mobile devices, but for desktop is not that great. Also i hope we get a dungeon, cause there is not a quest on time lock right now. Overall i liked 1.3 better, but the platformer mini-games are improving.

Loading screen: Gem hat Momo :/ Song is catchy though.

Outfits: I like the hair of the Floating Blossoms outfit (Fresh one) especially if we pretend it is a bun and not a braid, which we can if we just view from the front. Fruity Wish is the one I like best from this update (black dress). I’d like the dress if it did not have that apple pattern and the whole fit a lot more without the polka dots. This update’s outfits (including the banner ones) really aren’t my speed, and that’s okay.

The one thing I will say is that being able to transform into this little plushie thing with Crimson Rhapsody and fool Esselings unless you touch them is so cool. It checks out really, you look kind of like a little toy creature thing like them. Not pulling for it though.

Quests: Mostly self-contained in a few areas, nice for people like me who want to just get through quickly. Illusion Zone looks so cool. I remember doing the dancing minigame with some Pieceys, and appreciate that the version for this event has a much more forgiving bar for getting Perfect, especially since it lagged on me a bit at one point which impacted my score.

One quest had you use the violin outfit and it really makes me wish that we could use the other music outfits in place of it. The game gives all of the ones I have at least (Dizi, Pipa, both from Chinese New Year event) the same controls as the violin outfit. Two lines of do re mi fa so la ti, so it should be interchangeable. I’ve done a lot of concerts where I had to wear some nice formal black and white outfits and oh boy would I not wear that violin outfit to them, so many expectations and so disappointed. Yes, still complaining about that main story outfit lol.

I like the Carnival in Frames thing where you take pictures at certain places, with us taking pictures at places relevant to this update. Sort of feels like the Expedition Handbook.

And of course, I just mashed through story as usual lol

EDIT: I spoke too soon about the Illusion Zone. The first one you do in the story is cool, in some of the rest (have not done them all yet) they implemented my least favorite mechanic in platforming YET AGAIN: wait for the hazard to go away before you can continue. (Also present in the Swordsmith Ruins dungeon with the air vents that can push Momo out into the water.)
