Mexico had a land reform in the first half of the XX century in which land was distributed to agricultural workers, that makes many of the poor have a family member that owns a house or a small plot of land.

Extended family relations also usually result in having someone willing to take you in no matter what condition you’re in. There’s still homeless people but nothing like the US and parts of Europe

Yeah it’s a smashing way to solve the issue: in Iceland, homeless people on the streets don’t stay homeless for long! (They don’t stay people either)

Ireland isn’t a accurate figure as there’s plenty of people living on the streets, both Irish citizens and asylum seekers that we should be helping in equal measure here

seems czechia si the only place that noses out our numbers on the streets. Crazy to see that number for iceland given its climate. Really the green bar length is a good thing given it shows how much a society it trying to deal with the issue.

Us number is fake… Official rate is about here is .25 but my understanding is that they don’t count the invisible homeless ie people living in cars which is very common in the US. Number is about double that closer to 500 per 100k. Offical number is 750k, full number is double

So us technically should be leading the chart.

UK performance nearly match US is telling… Both regimes absolutely despise the poors and their policy is there to drove people into poverty.
