    You’d think it should be easy:

    1. Is the call coming into the US from a foreign exchange?

    2. Does the caller ID indicate a local US area code?

    If both are true, block the call.

    It’s too late IMO, we’re never going back to a time when you could maintain a phone line accessible to any caller without being drowned in spam. You just have to block unknown callers.
