    When it doubt and the topic is related to drinking whilst being in public, it’s safe to assume that ANY activity would be deemed illegal as whomever can resort to public intoxication (if the law exists near you obviously…)

    That said, I don’t think there is any laws surrounding mushing for most places but it would really depend where specifically your referring too. Question is too broad

      The question was inspired by watching the movie Snow Dogs. There’s a scene where the guy has sled dogs pulling his car down the street in Alaska. I wondered if it would be legal to do that drunk. He didn’t have the vehicle turned on.

        Alaska’s DUI law specifically mentions a motorized vehicle. So you probably couldn’t get a DUI on a horse, in a carriage, or with a dog sled, but if they were pulling your car with dogs then you might. The law doesn’t specify the motor be on, or functional, just that it be a “motor vehicle”.

        I guess it would come down to the jury on that one.
