I had installed Guix with Mate as my DE but a big part of my desktop experience is having Plank as my dock. I don’t see it in the package list on the Guix website. Am I mistaken or is Plank not usable on Guix ? Any recomendations for alternatives ?

You might need to package it.
If I ever find the time to learn how to I would. In the mean time I will just switch to Gnome and use the Dash to Dock feature. If anyone is willing to package and maintain Plank on Guix i’d donate $120 CAD a year to them.
