Man I was starting to wonder if I was the only person that felt like this. It just…… feels like the world itself is going to shit. God help you if you’re a 90’s baby. The amount of shit we’ve had to go through compared to the older generations is just…… Christ lol.

Exactly how I feel. ‘94 baby here. Feeling absolutely hopeless and defeated.

Sure, didn’t say it was the worst time to have ever been alive. Just that presently it feels hopeless.

Gotcha. It does feel hopeless. But we are doing what we can… preserving our public forum via the fediverse being one step.

Agreed! Its up to all of us to make things better. We are the people alive today. Populating this place and creating content, commenting, etc. is a good start.

Depends on how you define deliberate. The wealth gap between the super rich and the rest of us is getting bigger and bigger, and a lot of those issues seem related to that.

“Everyone can enjoy a life of luxurious leisure if the machine-produced [robots] wealth is shared, or most people can end up miserably poor if the machine-owners successfully lobby against wealth redistribution. So far, the trend seems to be toward the second option, with technology driving ever-increasing inequality.” -Stephen Hawking
