If you think climate change is a hoax, you might believe wind turbines poison groundwater.
I was talking to a boomer relative recently about the increase of tornadoes in unusual places. They said to me, “Yeah, those tornadoes are caused by all the wind turbines and solar panels.”
I just nodded along like, “Ok, boomer.” But I was thinking, “Damn. If this was a conspiracy about turbines OR solar panels that would be one thing… But wrapping it all up in one conspiracy that’s obviously makes no sense and only serves the car/oil cartels? That’s BOLD! The boldness required for a complete denial of reality…”
Anyway this person has died since then. RIP. But damn boomers are wacky…
One of my conservative boomer relatives once postulated that wind farms would cause detrimental climate changes by slowing down the wind and disrupting regional weather patterns. I was at a complete loss for words.
Oil though; oil’s fine.
