I feel like the raptor fight was to give Superman opponents he could defeat, except they’re normal humans in rocket suits who likely fell to their deaths. Or was there a cut scene where he caught this dude before he faceplanted into the pavement? Anyway, I’m going to say crippling or murdering these dudes was more brutal and one-sided.
There was a shot of them piling up on the ground and moaning in pain with no more than a tiny bounce, to tell you that they’re all alive. You’re expected to assume the guy without a helmet also lives, somehow, as long as he didn’t fall right on his neck.
The part where he spins like some supersonic top to shake off a whole bunch of them should definitely have turned a few organs to mush and sent a couple into orbit, though.
Yeah, I know all of them are supposed to survive, same as everyone in Metropolis survives as that dimensional rift tears the city in two, but I would like to see that dude come back rebuilt as Metallo, much the way Rumlow returns in Captain America.
