En redningsarbeider mistet livet under en omfattende redningsaksjon i Nappstraumen i Lofoten fredag ettermiddag. En ung jente er fortsatt savnet.

“The worst that could happen, has happened. We’ve lost one of our lifeguards, when he did the most important thing a lifeboat crew can do: To try and save another life. In the sorrow we are in, it is important to remember that the rescue operation is still ongoing. Our thoughts go first and foremost to the relatives, to the crew who participated in the rescue operation and to all colleagues who are deeply affected today. In the days to come, it’s about taking care of each other”
