PROTEST in Barcelona, Spain On October 18, millions across the U.S., here in BARCELONA, and around the world will rise together in a coordinated day of action to say loud and clear: No Tyrants. The power belongs to the people.
Be a part of the 3.5% — that’s all it takes. History shows that when just 3.5% of the population unites in sustained, nonviolent resistance, even the most powerful regimes are forced to change. Chenoweth, Erica. Why Civil Resistance Works, 2011
📣 Join us for a peaceful, powerful protest
📍 We’ll be at Plaça de Sant Jaume (NOT Plaça Catalunya!) in the Gothic Quarter (BARCELONA, SPAIN) ⏰ Noon local time (GMT+2)
Featuring:
- Inspiring speakers
- Music
- Information on how to take action from abroad
All nationalities are welcome, so bring your friends, family, classmates, and colleagues!
Bring a sign that expresses your voice — we will also have some extras to share.
⚠️ PLEASE NOTE ⚠️ As SPAIN is a monarchy and does have a king we will NOT be using the “No Kings” language, and we ask that you please NOT bring signs with that phrase.
A No Kings protest in a monarchy sounds funny, especially since it is specifically not trying to target the actual monarchy
Try not to miss the forest for the trees.
This is a protest to let all wanna be or actual dictators in the world know that people won’t stand for it.
I just thought it was amusing
