Hey all! I’ve a choice between going to one of these 2 games:
LA Kings v Ottawa Senators LA Kings v Vancouver Canucks
I know literally nothing about NHL. I’m going cos the atmosphere and experience I’ve seen of matches looks great! I’m also secretly hoping there’s a fight obviously.
Which should I go to?
I would say the Vancouver game because; Ottawa’s best player is injured and Vancouver being a West team might make the atmosphere better.
Quinn is out for Vancouver, I’d argue he’s their best player too…
That was day to day last I checked though, was it changed?
Vancouver vs LA easily. They play each other more often and will be a more exciting game because of that.
Great thanks. How does yhe playing each other make it more exciting? I know zero about sport
More rivalry between teams, they play more often so they remember past transgressions. All of that means it’s more likely to be exciting to watch, more likely to be heated and have bigger hits or fights (good thing in hockey).
Ahhhh of course! Great tips thanks
The
crypto.com arenaStaples Center will have pretty good atmosphere in both those games. If you’re looking for a fight it’s far more likely from Ottawa than Vancouver but Tkachuk’s injured at the moment so practically zero chance in either game.Vancouver are at least a division rival and I’m a Canucks fan so I’d lean ever so slightly towards that game but they’ll both be great because even the worst hockey game is better than 90% of what you could otherwise be doing.
Ah no fight devastated 😢 Great pointers thanks!
It’s not impossible but no one on the Kings, Canucks or Sens really is known for fighting and there’s not a lot of beef between the teams at the moment.
Ah it’s fine. The games look epic without the fights, the atmosphere is brilliant and they’re really exciting. I’m not a sports person but I’m definitely sold on NHL!
It’s the best game you can name
As silly as it may sound don’t sit ice level. It’s so fast that it’s hard to follow the whole thing…
Those two games should be nearly identical to be honest, it shouldn’t matter.
I’d lean toward the Vancouver game since both teams are in the Pacific division, and Vancouver is one point behind LA in the standings currently. It’s not hugely consequential at this point in the season, but there’s slightly more on the line when playing another team in your division.
Ooooh excellent advice thanks
Might see a few celebs at the Vancouver game since the film industry is so connected to LA
I’m British so sadly won’t know them unless they’re A-list or British
