Would be nice to have a few more people from r/godot in here. But I was a bit hesitant to write a post myself as I am not the creator of this community.

Also I’m not sure what the reddit mods would think about it, because they are not participating in reddark.

What do you guys think?

I would wait some more. Most people will just shrug off the current protest/blackout. So many subreddits stayed open that the average user just has a slightly different feed for a short while. And posting multiple times in there would just be rude to their mods. Interest in alternative platforms will grow once third party apps die and good mods start tapping out.

For now, let’s just try and keep things active in here. 🤷‍♀️

I’ve seen a few people doing similar in the relevant sub for their community but I do think it’s worth getting mod permission first, and ofc if those particular mods aren’t in support of the blackout it might be a harder sell. Still worth asking though!

The other consideration is that some people have actually been banned for advertising Lemmy or Kbin so bear that in mind when you choose which account to do it with.

I will let you know what they are answering. And you can post the ad makes more sense (and has more credibility) if you do it. :)

I haven’t heard back from the mod btw. Did you get an answer to get the community onto the godot/community page?
