Let’s threaten the entertainment industry with new technology, that has historically worked out just fine for the new technology.

I mean isn’t that the greatest thing about capitalism? If you can make a product better then nothing is stopping you! So go make the better product and stop crying about it! There’s definitely no reason you can’t, in this very free society based on capitalism

I love how these dorks treat ‘AI’ like it’s some shovel ware app that runs locally on their shitty device and not multi gigawatt consuming, town poisoning data centre hogging inference engines coasting on fomo hype and ungodly swaths of venture capital.

“Wha!? My favorite IP stealing startup went under because there is no business model? I’ll just fire up Ollama and run my model locally…”

Just kidding, they wouldn’t even get that far. They’d just start trying to prompt engineer… in the Windows Command Prompt.

i for one think burning 2000 bucks of electricity to make your own private movie is a good praxis and more americans should pursue it. maybe even get a crop of good editors out of it.

CHUDs actually love the most “safe” boring, cliche slop and demand their movies have no subversive elements, let alone originality.

CHUDs, YOU’RE the “modern audience”: the lowest common denominator.
