CD Projekt’s PC game storefront GOG is getting behind indie game Horses after Valve banned it from Steam.

Okay but will they also carry the H/adult games that were causing problems on Steam and other platforms?

Also are they going to carry Horses with the scene as originally intended? Because the developer said they were changing the thing (child carried by nude adult woman with a horse head) but Valve had already taken their ball and went home.

As I understood it, the devs also wanted to change the scene to be a better scene. I’m only going by replies in other threads about this though.

They said that but it is also the thing they would say if they were just trying to get approved.

“The scene is better when it has fewer red flags that we think might have gotten the game rejected.” is what it sounds like based on the timing to me.

If the other storefronts did not see the early build they probably are not seeing the larger picture that valve saw when it rejected the game.

Not to be pedantic, but Valve never stated that’s what cause the game to be rejected, the developer assumed it was that scene. There may have been other dicey parts or even a bug in their early build that gave Valve a very different picture of what the game was.

That being said, I think you’re right, the dev’s response seemed more like they’re willing to make changes if it would mean getting the game back on more storefronts.

I am generally a giant Steam/Valve fanboy, but uh, stick it to em GoG / Projekt!

    Yep, this is some bullshit.

At the very least, give an actual clear reason why this game can’t be on Steam.
