    It always fascinates me how good those 3d models are. I understand that you don’t have budget constraint when dealing with that type of workload, but still.

      To be fair it’s not just about the budget constraints. Lots of games are made with intentionally downgraded graphics/models quality so even people with old hardware could play them (and bring in money) and it’s especially prevalent in online games. The budget part is, however, true for other forms of media like cinematics that promote those games

        Yeah, I should’ve mentioned that it’s exactly what I meant by budget. In gamedev it often referred as “model budget”. Basically, all your 3D models combined in one scene shouldn’t exceed polygons count, otherwise vram usage will go over the roof and\or engine won’t be able to handle it. In cinema\prerender it way less of a problem, cause you don’t need to render it in real time.
