There’s something so uniquely terrifying about memory issues. I feel like my self is slipping away from me.
ace-disgrace-on-the-case - Here’s the thing I feel like a lot of folks don’t get: I’m not trying to forget what you said. Honestly, I really tried not to. I can’t control what I do and don’t remember—forgetting things just happens. It’s annoying for you, I know, but for me it’s distressing as hell and when you make a big deal out of it rather than just reminding me you make me feel ashamed. I’ll remember that, at least.
It costs you nothing to be kind to people with memory problems. Please. It’s scary enough without people treating memory lapses as a personal failing.

What? Mnemonics are an excellent crutch for short-term memory! That’s rather the whole point of the exercise.

Seriously fuck off. I’m so sick of you people saying it’s so easy. It’s really not. Yeah let’s just try to remember some completely bizarre convoluted goldbergian thing as a crutch to remember something simple, like take the clothes out of the dryer.

This completely bullshit theory dores not help a god damned bit.

You are effectively telling someone who can’t walk that walking is easy just go run a marathon…

So fucking brain-dead and insulting. Sorry for the rant but I’m really really tired of people like you completely dismissing what others are experiencing just because YOU find it easy. So sick of this advice I’m sorry but you just make me angry by being so shitty

It’s so frustrating because we fucking hate how difficult it makes our lives, at least me and others I’ve known who seen too have the same thing
