for my first cad, i want to design or modifiy an existing 9mm 3dp insert to support 45acp. a question is… why hasnt this already been created either commercially or in the FOSS community ? are there some inherent geometry blockers with 45acp/10mm calibers that dont quite fit into the endo/exomag model ?

    I’m not sure about compatibility but overall there isn’t much out there for .45 magazines, I think partially due to lack of interest and platforms that need it.

      yeah… ill start working on it this month. as i cant find any technical reason why this hasnt been tried. seems to be more of a ‘supply and demand’ situation.

        I think if there was a ,45acp/10mm endomag type magazine, the demand would rise and hopefully make them more popular!!
