I had to take a path through the trees back to the road.

yeah stay away from the monk seals.

    one, they endangered.

two, their jaws open up wide enough to swallow a cantalope, they move way faster than you think they should be able to on land, and they will straight up chase you if you are in the water.

three, this looks like Ka’ena point. You on oahu?

      Oahu, yeah!

Yup, NOAA recommends 150 ft. feet distance from monk seals and if you’re blocked in, strongly endorses my “Find Another Way” technique.

yeah I can tell by the sand.

If you are still on the west side, or haven’t made it out there yet,

Electric beach for fish pic’s (go swim out to the efluent of the power plant)

Pink pill box for the best view

Ka’ena point for albatross and seals (albatross should be nesting right now)

Whales all up and down the coast. Dolphins at Makua.

And then hit up Coquitos for lunch. Don’t go to 604. Its trash.

          Oh dang thanks!

It’s my last day in hawaii this trip, but I’m definitely saving your comment because I have to go back to the states after Asia for another wedding so I might stop by here. I’d love to see the dolphins and whales

Whales are all over the island?
