Great to read of an EU leader recognizing the the importance of stepping up and taking action.
They should at least build the agreements, processes, protocols, comms channels and so on immediately, even if they don’t go the full way to assembling the army. It’ll probably need to be used sooner than later, and will need to respond quickly to whichever aggressor nation has provoked open conflict.
In my mind, there is no way Trump’s actions can be interpreted in any other way than destabilize the US to the highest degree possible, and either be taken by or willingly join China and Russia, when that happens, they’re going after the EU first.
But only if Von der Leyen isnt in charge. We already had that here in Germany, didn’t work out too well for our army.
