    You’re still not supposed to cite Wikipedia because it is an encyclopedia that contains no original information.

    If you use Wikipedia for research, you go to the links that Wikipedia cites, and then you read and cite those, instead.

      Yeah, I saw someone on a YT comment section (yes I know) citing “Google” as a source to back himself up. I was like, dude you have to read the link and that’s the real source.

      If this had been enforced consistently, it’s a different story. But at least at my school I was allowed to cite random blog articles, outdated news and anything else I found, as long as it wasn’t Wikipedia.
