I cannot use a tone via text easily: see Poe’s law. It was meant to be informative and sort of speculative to the future of Piefed. I was happy when Piefed came around but this changed my view a little. I want all federation to succeed but having these things be embedded in the code and not flags to set (even though you can turn most off) just strikes me as concerning. I’m glad users have choices though, but we will still call out bad choices, as many do when calling out shitty instances like hexbear or .ml.

I will not remove the source and my opinion on it. I’ve been nothing but civil and understanding in the replies to my post and it’s clear it’s an opinion with using “imo”.

Your “source” is not a source of information : It is a meme. It doesn’t create the conditions for discussion and debate. A meme doesn’t invite people to share their thinking, people react.

That’s quite different from someone explaining that Piefed has a set of rules that rate our behaviour. The mood and reaction is quite different from there. Do you notice it ?

No, i’m not asking you to remove your opinion that you disagree with piefed score. I never told you that. I’m asking you to rewrite your post and create a proper space for discussion. And i explained why above…

I have already had a proper space for discussion. I’ve been civil in the replies. This is crazy to even be arguing about. If it’s a meme, why do you care? Are we to just discuss and bicker on the internet or create a better space?

Remove it if you want for not conforming to your rules of speech. I’m done.

Oh I see your issue. You thought I was linking the meme post, not the comment. Look at the comment I linked. That’s my source. I don’t give a crap about the meme, but the comment is a deep dive into the source code.
