Red onion combines with any umami so well, even on my worst days I’m glad to have been alive at the time time as red onion
I’d really like to have some variation in my pizza but my tastebuds always make me pair some umami with either red onions or bell peppers. Sometimes I make a white sauce base istead of a red sauce, that’s the most variation I make.
