I know Epic is not well liked, but I always go out of my way to claim free games. I’ve read somewhere that epic has to pay all claimed free games to the developer.
Either way. It’s a free point 'n click for people who are interested.

Supposedly developers get a flat fee for being the weekly freebie, so the money has already changed hands regardless of whether you download it or not
That game is great fun, just finished it recently. It lacks animations but the pixel style is beautiful and the dialogues are very funny :)
