I was out of work for two weeks at Outlier because the pigs took my laptop when they impounded my van and everything I own. When I finally got a laptop and was able to log back in they wanted me to do this assessment, with a deadline of midnight. And of course because I’m septic with pneumonia again (again, thanks pigs) I failed the assessment.
Jesus Christ, I’m so fucking sorry. Fuck pigs, and also fuck outlier.
Curious if you have tried other platforms? I’m on data annotation right now and it has been way more pleasant then outlier, which made me frustrated and stressed every God damn day
I apparently failed Data Annotation’s assessment, but I’m going to see if I can just make another account and try again.
Damn sorry to hear. DA is better in some ways notably you report your own hours (no getting screwed over because of platform issues), they just offer a priority pay rate instead of those stupid “missions”, you can be on many projects at once, and there is no stupid feedback you ever have to see. The pay seems to be somewhat lower (20% or so for similar types of projects) but they don’t play all the tricks and games like Outlier.
Another one I have had work on was stellar AI, but I haven’t had anything on there for nearly a year. It was similarly a nicer experience than outlier though I never got that much work.
I managed to make a new account and retake DA’s assessment. I think I did significantly better but idk.
I’m trying to prepare to take some of Outlier’s other skill assessments. Honestly I like Outlier.
I had one project I really hated back in September, so I haven’t been back on outlier since. Now, every time I log on there is nothing on my dash and nothing on my marketplace so I might have been quietly removed or something.
I wouldn’t mind having another option tbh, I have made good money on outlier in the past, and DA is increasingly only giving me lower tier projects
