My previous pile of wood has reached its maximum height I think:

On @redlemace@lemmy.world’s advice, I stacked the new pile in a criss-cross pattern. It certainly is more compact and more stable, but also finding adequately-sized logs to make the pile grow straight is a somewhat OCD exercise that I don’t care that much for.
Also, my pile doesn’t look as nice as in other people’s photos 🙂 But hey, it’s functional.



This stacked right by the house? I’ve been told that’s a good way for termites to find a good snack but then stay for the full course meal. Best to put that out in a shed or tarped over far away from the house.
No termites here.
