trade evolution was a fucking mistake, and so is multiple version releases that arbitrarily split Pokemon availability. Love the series but greedy ass company and practices makes me never want to buy a Pokemon game proper
A lot of Japanese games made for handhelds seem to have features intended for people who live in walkable places with functional public transport. Outside of that context, shit just doesn’t work right lol
Streetpass-only features for 3ds were the worst. Even when the yo-kai watch games were more popular, pandanoko was almost impossible to obtain legitimately without living in downtown Tokyo.
