I have this terrible old little tablet that was shit even when new with the stock OS. I’ve found on the Lineage website that the regular A7 tab was supported, but I didn’t find anything on the lite.
I’ve checked and it’s an SM-T225. Is it possible to easily install lineage on this device? I finally found a use for it and wouldn’t want to generate ewaste.
Sorry if it’s a dumb question, I don’t know too much about mobile devices.
No. There’s no support and not even unofficial ports. If you want to get it in you have to port it yourself.
They say on the lineage devices page:
- Devices not listed are not supported.
and
- Nearly identical is not sufficient
Looking through the devices we see A7 Wifi and A7 LTE, noone of them have SM-T225 on their supported models list, so the A7 lite wouldn’t be supported It’s not even on the discontinued devices list What i would do is look on XDA for custom roms
