I’m participating… but I’ve only got 2k words so far.

I’ve never heard of NaNoWriMo, maybe open with a welcome post that gives a quick and dirty rundown of the concept? Is the goal really to write something in a month?

I’m sort of doing my own version this year and writing 50k words of video script instead, so that probably doesn’t count. But if you do decide to do weekly check-in posts or whatever I’ll certainly be there to cheer the real writers along! 😄
