I don’t know what it’s like in Europe but if it’s anything like the US TV news is definitely not trustworthy. Written news is much better.
Think more BBC than Fox News
we basically have public TV stations that everyone has to pay a fee for, which are supposed to be neutral in reporting on news.
And in many cases this actually works as can be seen in the linked picture. Also most countries have relatively strong organs for overseeing these public news stations.
