    It’s a common motif among boomers that their parents didn’t really pay attention to them. And we see this in the “u triggered” behavior. They say and do horrible things to get validation from the negative attention, because they never learned what positive attention felt like as a child.

    This surely isn’t a problem just for boomers, but there is an abnormal percentage among that group. The best way to counteract it is to show them positive reinforcement for their efforts, and appreciate when they do finally do something good.
