All along the motorway these things are mounted on the crash barrier between the lanes. There’s one crash barrier for each direction of traffic and only one of them has these things mounted.

There’s a couple of different colors, the darker ones fewer, no idea if that is on purpose or coincidence. There’s some with white and red stripes at regular intervals.

I can’t figure the purpose of these, does anyone know?

Oh, that’s the purpose? I don’t think I’d ever guessed. Thank you.

Wish we had that in Germany. As great as the autobahn is, when it rains it reflects so much that you don’t see the Markings anymore without highbeams.

But maybe that’s a northern thing.

There’s two opposing lanes of traffic on the other side if the barrier, I assure you. Cyprus drives on the left side of the road.

Taxpayer money spent because assholes like to drive lifted trucks with their high beams on at all times.

Except that’s not how it works know it all, when you lift a truck the lights are re-aimed, so low or high beams, they’re where they always would have been. If that’s skipped, you literally can light the road you’re on.

Doesn’t take a pro to do that, just a screwdriver, 25 or so feet of flat ground, and some common sense.

It’s the common sense that seems to be missing most of the time.
