Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a thought. Occasionally, I stumble upon one of the flying island with a small pool teeming with a handful of fish or spot a group of ostriches roaming.

Now, I fully understand that this is merely a video game, and that these non-playable characters will respawn after the first blood moon as the game resets its content… However, I can’t help but feel a twinge of hesitation when contemplating the idea of stripping the land bare, removing the fish, plants, and trees for a quick boost or, more likely, yet another ancient arowana for my sack (I’ve lost count at this point!).

Does anyone else experience this bittersweet melancholy when immersed in virtual worlds? do you take everything, or just what you need?

    yea, i get that.

I played, and enjoyed Raft immensely, but it felt off playing a game about how humanity destroyed the world, while going island to island clear cutting them.
