Hey all,
Just purchased a little Lenovo M720q and an external 8TB HDD to start off.
Wanted to use Proxmox so I can play around with VMs in the future.
Here is my plan:
- Install Proxmox on the PC storage
- Install tailscale on the host so I can have remote access
- Create a VM and use docker-compose for Plex, *arrs, etc.
- Create a VM for my download clients, and putting this entire VM behind a VPN
- Create a VM/LXC, mount the external drive to it so I can set up a NFS/SMB or something (still researching this) so the other VMs/containers will all have access to it
I am not sure with file systems to use for the Proxmox host and external storage. Been seeing people recommend EXT4, NTFS, ZFS
