    I love this. I recently had someone from Indonesia apologize for their English which, as often is the case was fantastic. I always tell people like that, I know one language, and you know more than one, never apologize for that.

      Wasn’t there a soccer/football player that called out a crowd for laughing at a fan trying to talk to him in the player’s native language?

      Most of the time I’d never have known they weren’t native English writers if they didn’t say so.

      The coolest thing about Indonesian is that if that person can speak English, it’s possible that they can speak three or more languages, as Indonesian people usually speak Bahasa Indonesia and their local language

        Her native tongue was a smaller Chinese dialect. So, yeah she knew 3 or more languages. I think there was a 4th, but I’m forgetting what it was. Probably is Bahasa like you mention.
