Begründung ist wohl der hohe Moderationsaufwand bei Föderationen mit Instanzen mit offener Anmeldung. Ich weiß nicht was ich davon halten soll, als beehaw-User würde es mich auf jeden Fall glaube ich ziemlich nerven und mich dazu bewegen, mich stattdessen auf lemmy.world oder sh.itjust.works zu registrieren. Ich bin jedenfalls froh, als feddit.de User nicht direkt betroffen zu sein, auch wenn das Ganze wahrscheinlich eher zu mehr Fragmentation führen wird und mich somit früher oder später doch betreffen wird.

Ich verstehe nicht wieso man das strickt sperren muss. Wieso kann ich mir z.B. als Mitglied von feddit nicht einer Japanischen Community subscriben? Oder wieso soll jemand aus Japan der Deutsch kann, nicht in einer Community bei feddit aktiv sein dürfen? Feddit muss ja nichts von den anderen Instanzen automatisch auf der Startseite anzeigen. Und wenn ein Benutzer das für sich persönlich aboniert hat, dann sieht er das ja auch nur bei sich?
Diese Benutzer können dann in den Communities auf anderen Servern aber auch kommentieren und dann kommt das ins Spiel was ich oben beschrieben habe.
