Nice. I didn’t know DVD was still that popular. I’m looking forward to getting Monk on Blu-ray.

I didn’t know DVD was still that popular.

DVDs have consistently outsold Blu-ray and UHD combined. It’s sad, but I guess we should be grateful people are buying physical media at all.

I buy it for the extra features (commentary, deleted scenes, etc). Either that or as part of a kickstarter.

After all, the meaning and value of physical gifts are still different. Before that, I once gave my friend a USB flash drive, which contained a video of everyone wishing her a happy birthday and some videos edited from her clips over the past few years. She was very moved. In fact, my inspiration came from my family recording videos for me with a VCR when I was young, and then burning them into DVDs. These DVDs are still in the closet of my room. It won’t be long before my father’s birthday. Before that, I also edited a video. I found a blu-ray authoring software to burn the video into DVDs and gave it to my father. I think this is a very meaningful gift.
